“Plastic pollution is a big problem. We don’t feel the immediate consequences (yet) because our waste ends up far away in other environments rather than our own. Out of sight, out of mind? I wanted to bring the problem closer to home, by asking different households to gather all the plastic waste they consumed during 14 days and photographing them with it in their homes, their natural habitat so to speak. This made them (and me) more conscious about the amount of plastic waste we consume and its impact. It’s not a pretty picture where we are heading if we continue like this. I hope this project ignites the urge to consume less and recycle, for the sake of our planet, the animals and our future. To be continued...”
